Obituary for Lorenza Blanche Flores
Blanche Flores passed away peacefully into the loving arms of God and her loving son, David on her 81st birthday, Friday, August 10, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was at home with her daughter in Choctaw, OK. She was born August 10, 1937 to Paulina & Jose Sanchez in McAllen, Texas. She married Jose Flores and together they raised their 3 children. Blanche was a stay at home mother caring for her family until she went to work as a Certified Nurse's Aide at the Mangum Nursing Home. She worked there for 24 years until she left to do private nursing. She worked with many families in the local community staying with and caring for their loved ones. She had a passion for taking care of the sick and the elderly. She finally retired from working for the public to take care of her sick son, David along with other family members. Throughout her entire life, she was devoted to caring for people. She stepped up when others weren't able. Even before working outside of the home, she was caring for numerous family members in times of need. Blanche believed everyone should be treated with dignity and compassion. She made it a point to provide that to everyone she cared for.
Blanche was preceded in death by her son, David Flores, her parents, Paulina and Jose Sanchez, her sisters, Amelia Guerra and Delia Estraca and her brothers, Juan Sanchez, Esteban Sanchez, Jose (Pepe) Sanchez, Antonio Sanchez, and her special friend, Hester Banister.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Flores and wife, Kathy of Indianapolis, IN, her daughter, Marlene Cody and Michael Barron of Choctaw, OK, her grandsons Michael Cody and Carrie of Cordell, OK, Derrik, Nickolas and Jarrod Flores, her granddaughters, Mindy Neugebauer, Rebekah Jo Flores of Tulsa, OK, Leah Flores of Houston, TX and her great grandchildren, Haley and Ryse Neugebauer of Fredrick, OK, and Melanie, Marissa Cody and Genesis of Cordell, OK along with many other family members and friends too numerous to mention.
