Louis Monroe Humphries age 69, of Altus, Oklahoma died at Memorial Hospital in
Altus September 21, 1963. He was born May 7, 1894 in Bells, Texas to A.M. and Liza (Whitefield) Humphries. Louis married Ruth Chambers September 27, 1921 . He belonged to the American Legion, was a mason and was a retired mail carrier.

Funeral services for Louis Monroe Humphries are scheduled for September 23, 1963 at 10:00am in the Tims Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma; officiated by Rev. Owen Gragg. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Louis Monroe Humphries is survived by his wife Ruth of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; one son Roy Humphries, Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother R.A. Humphries, Pecan Gap, Texas; one sister Mrs. Nettie Pebble, Greenville, Texas.
