Services for Lula Mae Sanders, age 72, of Altus, who died Sunday, June 19th, 1994, have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Bostic officiating. Interment will be in the Brookshire Cemetery in Brookshire, Texas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sanders was born March 14,1922 in Brookshire, Texas to Nelson and Annie Shelton. She married Johnnie Sanders April 1, 1952 in Clovis, NM. They moved to the Altus area in 1966 from California.
Survivors include: her husband, Johnnie Sanders of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; two children, Sandra Jean Marshall and husband Joe of Altus, OK and Willie Merle High of Altus, OK; two brothers, Levi Shelton of Houston, Texas and Nelson Shelton, Jr.; three sisters, Louise Gibson, Melinda McCoy and Marie Banks; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter, Bobbie Jean Jones; several brothers and sisters.
