Obituary for Lula Pearl Caldwell
Lula Pearl Caldwell , age 81, passed away Monday, January 29th, 1996, in Abilene, Texas, where she had lived for the past 16 months. Services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Eldorado Baptist Church with Rev. Don Ladner, Rev. Mitch Whittington and Jackie Black officiating. Interment will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Caldwell was born October 22nd, 1914 in Eldorado, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late James Wilson and Chimp (Witcher) Spencer. She was Valdictorian of her graduating class at Midway High School in Eldorado in 1932. On October 6, 1933, Pearl and John V. Caldwell were united in marriage at Eldorado, Oklahoma. They resided their whole life in Eldorado where she belonged to the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Jackie Lehman; a grandson, Stephen Michael Whitfield; 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: her spouse, John V. Caldwell of the home; two daughters, Patricia Eloise Whitfield of Stinnett, TX and Nita Jo Black of Abilene, Texas; one sister, Jewell Weddle of Eldorado, OK; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
