Harold Lynn Gray, age 59, of Hollis, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, as the result of an airplane crash in Hollis.
Lynn was born in Amarillo, Texas, on August 24, 1957, to Harold Louis and Louella Fay (Cline) Gray. After graduating from Tascosa High School, in 1976, Lynn moved to Harmon County and began working for American Dusting. He established Gray Ag Air in 1982, starting on a dirt strip with a 5 gallon bucket and a water hose. Lynn later expanded the business in 2015, by opening another location in Wellington, Texas. Lynn enjoyed quail hunting, rock crawling, razor riding and going skiing at his happy place, Red River, NM. Two daughters, whom he dearly loved, Lea and Jessie were born to a previous marriage. On June 6, 2014, Lynn married Beth Leckie and they established their home in Hollis where they lived until his death.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Beth, of the home; two daughters, Lea and Jessie Gray, both of Hollis; one grandson, Zane Gray, of Hollis (Lynn’s favorite); one step-son, Scotty Lee Scott, of Mustang; one brother, Russell Louis Gray and wife Vickie of Tulia, Texas along with many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Lynn Gray will be at 2 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Hollis High School Auditorium. Inurnment will follow at the Independence Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, of Hollis.
