Obituary for Maedell Mefford
Maedell Mefford, age 77, lifelong resident of Eldorado, Oklahoma, died Thursday, July 21st, 1994.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Carr and Henry McBrayer officiating. Interment will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mefford was born April 23rd, 1917 in Harmon County, Oklahoma to Marcus D. and Agatha (Briggs) Coke. She married Marvin O. Mefford December 21, 1940 in Gould and he preceded her in death, October 21, 1986. Mrs. Mefford was a retired school teacher, having taught for 30 years at Lincoln, LaCasa and Gould Schools, all in the Harmon County area. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three children, Harlan Mefford and wife Gloria of Eldorado, Oklahoma, Marsha Robinson and husband Robby of Gould, OK and Randy Mefford and wife Donna of Gould, OK; three brothers, George Coke of Lubbock, TX, Bilbo Coke of Gould, OK and Troy Coke of Eldorado, Oklahoma; three sisters, Edna Brewer of Mangum, OK, Viola Brownlow of Lubbock, TX and Elsie Byrd of El Verda, CA; six grandchildren, Brent and Tamyra Mefford of Stillwater, OK, Carrie Mefford of Stillwater, OK, Cory and Amy Robinson of Weatherford, OK, Michael Mefford, Jennifer Mefford and Erin Robinson, all of Gould, OK.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Marvin O. Mefford, October 21, 1986; her parents; one son, Gary Mefford - 1948.
