Obituary for Maggie Mae Ware
Maggie Mae Ware, age 94, passed away early Thursday morning at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services have been set for 3:00 P.M. Saturday afternoon at the Hess First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ware was born June 13th, 1891 near Newport, TN. She moved to the Jackson County area with her pioneer parents, John and Mary Odell Gillis, over 77 years ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church all of her adult life. On November 28, 1909 she was married to Will Ware at Elmer. He preceded her in death 46 years ago. She was also preceded in death by four of her seven children.

Survivors include: two daughters, Marie Dollins of Arnett and Joyce Ware of Hess; one son, Alvin Ware of Vernon, TX; one sister, Lavena Hatcher of Lake Isabell, CA; one brother, Jonie Gillis of Wichita Falls, TX; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
