Obituary for Mamie Lindsey
Mamie Lindsey age 94 former Olustee and Jackson County resident passed away Monday evening October 25, 1999 in McKinney, Texas. She was born November 15, 1904 om Lone Oak, Texas to William Riley and Lydia Carter. She was a longtime Jackson county resident before moving in March of 1992 to Princeton, Texas to be close to her family. Mamie was a homemaker and member of the Assembly of God Church.
Grave side services are scheduled for Thursday, October 28, 1999 at 10:00am in the Olustee Cemetery with Bill Osborne officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
She is survived by two children, Alvin Parks and wife Evelyn of Princeton, Texas, Ruby Inez Skinner of Showlow, Arizona; four step children, Florene Brewer of Altus, Oklahoma, Norene Hamilton of Lawton, Oklahoma, Harold Lindsey of Garland, Texas Maryln Wooley also of Garland, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Parks of Altus, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren and a host of step-grand and great-grand and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Robert Ernest Parks, Norman Harold Lindsey; three brothers, Marvin Carter, Jesse Carter, Raymond Carter; two sisters, Ellie Houston, and Myrtel Farley; three sons, Robert E. Parks, Jr. Jesse Jerald Parks, Raymond M.Parks; one step-daughter, Norma Lindsey.
