Obituary for Marcelina Ramirez Linares
Marcelina Ramirez Linares age 89 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, October, 23, 1999 at Quartz Mountain Care Center. She was born June 2, 1910 in Jalisco, Mexico to Eugenio and Filomena G. Ramirez.
Marcelina and Isidoro Santos were united in marriage in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1943. She moved to Texas in 1944. On June 24, 1948 in Munday, Texas Marcelina married Jesus Manuel Linares. He preceded her in death April 21, 1974. She has lived in the Altus area since 1952 moving here from Munday, Texas.
Marcelina truly enjoyed being a homemaker, and it a special time for her to be able to take care of her family and spend time working in her garden. She was a longtime member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
She is survived by two children, Ben Santos and wife Delores of Martha, Oklahoma, Maria S. Linares and husband Victor G. of Altus, Oklahoma, tree step-sons and five step-daughters; one brother Jesus G. Ramirez of Jalisco, Mexico, one sister, Antonia R. Zarate also of Jalisco, Mexico, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, twenty-six-great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Isidoro Santos, second husband, Jesus Manuel Linares, three brother, two sisters, one great-grandson.
Funeral services is scheduled for Tuesdau, October 26, 1999 at 10:00am in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joseph Jacobi officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Rosary will be held Monday evening October 25, 1999 at 7:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home
