Obituary for Marcus Goodlow
Marcus Goodlow, age 51, a long time resident of Altus, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in Hominy, Oklahoma.
Marcus was born on February 23, 1957 in Altus to Gilbert and Jessie Mas (Weaver) Goodlow. He married Debra Jones in Altus in 1980. Marcus was a member of the Altus Church of Christ and worked as a machine operator for Altus Co-op Compress. He enjoyed playing football, basketball, track and racing cars. Marcus loved his family and he will be missed very much.
Preceding Marcus in death were his parents, Gilbert and Jessie Mas Goodlow; one brother, Arthur F. Goodlow; and one sister, Sophia Goodlow.
Marcus is survived by his wife Debra Goodlow; three children, Sheretta Steven of Altus; Markeva Goodlow of Tulsa; Marcus Lamont Turner and his wife Dederia Pease of Altus; four brothers, Henry Goodlow and his wife Debra of Altus; Charles Goodlow and his wife Patricia of Altus; Richard Goodlow of Altus; Ricky Goodlow of Lawton; three sisters, Lanaisse Goodlow of Pembroke, Kentucky; Sharon Ricks of Altus; Henrietta White of Taft, Oklahoma. Other survivors include grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Services for Marcus Goodlow will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with reverend De W. Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family of Marcus Goodlow will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
