LIPPARD

Margaret Evelyn (Margie) Lippard, 85, died at Grace Living Center in Mangum, Oklahoma on October 30, 2016. She was born in Jester, Oklahoma on August 18, 1931 to William (Bill) David and Eva Beatrice (Deberry) Lott.

On December 30, 1951 she married Henry Lippard and moved to a farm in the White Flat community west of Mangum. They developed deep and long-lasting friendships, even as they moved into Mangum where they have continued to live.

Margie and Henry didn’t have biological children but they were parents and grandparents to many. Their house was always the “get-away” for many nieces, nephews, and the children of friends.

Margie worked as a bookkeeper for many years in Mangum and Altus, and finally retired from an office position at the First United Methodist Church in Mangum.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, William Dwight Lott, Gene Lott, Luther M. Lott and three sisters, Sue Lippard, Shirley Humphries, and Bonnie Stephenson.

She is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Henry Lippard, still residing at Grace Living Center in Mangum; one sister, Kay Rose of Columbia, TN; many nieces and nephews and a large number of friends and acquaintances.

Special thanks to the staff at Grace Living Center and to Jackson County Hospice.

Memorial services for Margie Lippard will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church, in Mangum.

Donations in her memory can be made to First United Methodist Church, Jackson County Hospice or a charity of your choice.
