Marguerite King died Sunday, June 18, 2000 at the McAllen Medical Center at McAllen, Texas. She was born December 25th, 1902 at Talmadge, Nebraska. She was the daughter of the late Arend Henry and Bertha (Butz) Renken.

She had lived in Houston for 36 years. Mrs. King moved to McAllen, Texas with her parents in 1907, where they owed and operated a grocery store. Mrs. King graduated from McAllen High School and married Albert Lee King shortly after. They moved to Houston, where she retired from A & P Supermarket as a bookkeeper. After her retirement they moved to Altus. Mrs. King moved to Port Isabel in l989 and then to Mission, Texas in 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents and Husband.

Interment in the Altus Cemetery was Thursday, June 22, 2000 under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
