Obituary for Maria Del Carmen Ponce Perez
Maria Del Carmen Ponce Perez, 67, resident of Chihuahua, Mexico passed away on Christmas, December 25, 2019, at her daughter's home in Hollis, Oklahoma.
Carmelita had come to Hollis, Oklahoma to visit her children and grandchildren for Christmas and New Years. Carmelita was born in San Jose Baquichi, Chih. Mexico to Federico Ponce and Maria Elena Perez. She had eight brothers and sisters that were raised by their father because her mother passed away at an early age. Family was everything to her, she helped raise her younger siblings as was always tending to their needs. On June 19, 1981 Carmelita married Manuel Benjamin Flores Ponce. This young family made their home in Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a devoted wife and mother to her children. Carmelita was a faithful member of El Templo Padre Maldonado Catholic Church where she was a pillar of her community leading many prayer groups. She never met a stranger and was always helping those in need and always put others before herself.
She has been reunited in heaven by, her father Federico Ponce, mother Maria Elena Perez, Brothers; Lorenzo Ponce, Jose Ponce, Sisters; Maria Luis Ponce, Carolina Ponce, Soledad Ponce, Ignacia Ponce, and Francisca Ponce.
Left to honor her memory are her husband of thirty eight years Manuel Benjamin Flores, sons; Edgar Flores and wife Isis Bustillos, David Flores and wife Ester Flores, Fabian Flores and wife Magaili Rodriguez, Aaron Flores, daughters; Marisela Flores and husband Rodolfo Ponce de Leon and Judith Flores, brother; Camilo Ponce Perez, grandchildren; Rodrigo, Kymberly, Estrella Ponce de Leon, Anahi, Adalyn, Aric, Alonzo Flores, Flor, Andrea, Fabian Flores, Eduardo, Edith Flores, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be 1:00p.m. Monday December 29, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Hollis, Oklahoma with Reverend Father Arokiasamy Andarias officiating. Following the services in Hollis, Oklahoma she will return to her home in Chihuahua, Mexico where services will be held and burial will follow at San Jose Baquichi, Chih Cemetery.
