Obituary for Maria V. Gonzales
Maria Gonzales Maria Gonzales of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, March 11, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 83. Maria was born May 13, 1917 in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Luis and Phedelia (Roblez) Villareal. She married Guadalupe Gonzales March 3, 1939, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He preceded her in death December 10, 1979. She was a pastor of her church from 1979 to1992 and was also a dedicated homemaker for many years. She was a member of the Iglesia Samaria Pentecostal Church in Altus. Maria is survived by her children, Guadalupe Contres and Her husband, Manuel, of Worland, Wyoming, Leon Gonzales and his wife Victoria, Gualberto Gonzales and his wife Maria, Juan Gonzales and his wife Stella, all of Altus, Oklahoma, David Gonzales ande his wife Rachel of Worland Wyoming, Maria Lopez and her husband Jose, and Daniel Gonzales and his wife Debbie, Also of Altus, one sister, Guadalupe Villareal of Victoria, Mexico; one brother, Rueben Lerma of Linares, Mexico; 22 Grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and many friends and church members who loved her. Funeral Services for Maria V. Gonzales will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, March 14, at the Iglesia Samaria Pentecostal Church in Altus with Reverend Salome Casanova officiating. Interment will be at the Altus City cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
