Marie was preceded in death by her husband Luther K. Guffy; her parents; three brothers, J.B. Claiborne, James Frank Claiborne, and George Rodney Claiborne; two sisters, Vesta Faye Burns and Edna Pearl Barefoot. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie E. Bolt and husband Richard of San Antonio; one sister, Melba Dean Devore of Kingman, Arizona; numerous nieces and nephews, and family members.
The Family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Baptist Retirement Center, the Baptist Hospice caregivers for their care and help, and friends who supported us during this time.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. " 1:30 P.M., Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Johnson"s Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Johnson"s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin McSpadden officiating. A reception will follow the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. " 7:00 P.M., Friday, September 28, 2012 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma. The family will be present from 11:30 A.M. " 12:30 P.M., Saturday, September 29, 2012 with burial to follow at 1:00 P.M. at Altus Cemetery in Altus, Oklahoma., with Reverend Kevin Baker officiating.
Memorials may be made to Baptist Hospice San Angelo, Meals for the Elderly in San Angelo, or a charity of your choice.
