Obituary for Marie Ellen Ellison
Marie Ellen Ellison died March 20, 2001, in the Matagorda County Memorial Hospital in Bay City, Texas. Service will be held Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 2:00pm in the Corinth Baptist Church. The services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Reverend Mark Farr will be officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Eldorado Cemetery, Eldorado, Oklahoma.
Marie was born June 11, 1931 in Bethel, Oklahoma to Herbert H. and Edna (Johnson) Huffhines. In 1952 she married Rodney Ellison in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1993. She was a long-time resident of Harmon County and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. Marie spent a lot of her time being a mother and homemaker.
She is survived by her children; Hurshal Ellison of Gypsum, Colorado; Randy Ellison and wife Rhonda of Gould, Oklahoma; steven Ellison and wife Dee of Irving, Texas; Chris Ellison and wife Delana of Altus, Oklahoma; Tim Ellison and wife Michele of Carney, Oklahoma; Anita McHenry and husband Bryan of Mangum, Oklahoma; two sisters, betty Rowland and husband Gene of Quanah, Texas; (twin sister) Mary Stepp of Matagorda, Texas; one brother, Tommy Huffhines of Quanah, Texas, fifteen grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
