Obituary for Marion Eldwin Houck
Marion Eldwin Houck, 71, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away at his home Monday, June 20, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
Marion was born on April 23, 1951, in Mangum, Oklahoma to his parents, Herman and Bessie Houck. He grew up in Mangum and graduated high school there. Marion went on to further his education at Panhandle State College in Goodwell, Oklahoma.
Marion was extremely skilled with his hands. He worked as a farmer for most of his life. When he was free from the heavy demands of the farm, Marion enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing and hunting. He had a great respect for nature and gave back to it through his work. Marion cherished spending time with his family more than anything else. He attended the Church of Christ and was a proud member of the Elk's Lodge. His presence will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
Marion is proceeded in death by his parents; Sister, Janice Byers; and Granddaughter, Megan Burns.
Left to honor his memory are his sons, Domingo Adame of Mangum, Oklahoma, Cecil Adame and wife Jennifer of Aransas Pass, Texas, Billy Walters and wife Jennifer of Optima, Oklahoma; Daughters, Tara Ishmael and husband Jerry of Altus, Oklahoma, Brandi Holt and husband Justin of Mangum, Oklahoma; Brother, Gary Houck and wife Loufine of Mangum, Oklahoma; Sister, Lawana Weaver and husband Dale of Smithville, Texas; Grandchildren, Kelcie Burns, Kaylie Burns, Christopher Adame, CJ Adame, Jonathan Adame, Christian Adame, Allison Baldwin, Madison Baldwin, Quinton Atkins, William Walters, Jr., Levi Walters, Breanne Walters; Thirteen Great Grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.
