Obituary for Marjorie Lee Ray
Marjorie Lee Ray, 86, lifelong Altus and Jackson County resident passed away Tuesday night, December 21, 2010 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home with her son Randy at her side.
Marjorie was born March 12, 1924 in Hess, Oklahoma to O.H. and Gertrude (Fink) Hunter. She graduated High School for Southside Public School. She married Freddie Lee Ray July 18, 1942. He preceded her in death October 6, 1983.
She owned and operated Marjorie's House of Hallmark for many years and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Freddie; her brother, Bob Hunter; and an infant brother, Robert Hunter. She is lovingly survived by her son, Randy Ray of Blair, Oklahoma; her former daughter-in-law, Pam of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Patty Ray of Wichita Falls, Texas; one brother, Don Hunter and his wife Juanelle of Vernon, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Linda Hunter of Blair, Oklahoma and Thelma Robertson of Decauter, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service has been scheduled for 11:00 am, Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Restlawn with David Stewart officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
