Obituary for Martha Ann Green
Martha Ann Green, born on January 7, 1948, in Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at her sister's home, surrounded by her loving family.
Martha was the daughter of Almo Leamon and Ann Lou (Tinsley) Leamon. She was raised in Dodson and Milshoe, Texas, and later in Mangum, Oklahoma. The daughter of a school principal, Martha valued education and hard work from an early age. She graduated from Dodson High School in 1966.
On October 5, 1966, Martha married her high school sweetheart, John Wayne Green, in Wellington, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two children, Michael Wayne Green and Regina Green.
Martha began her career as a teacher's aide in Wellington, Texas. In 1999, the Green family relocated to Mangum, where she began working at Mangum Regional Medical Center in 2001. She faithfully served there as a ward clerk and nurses aid until her retirement in 2015.
Family was at the heart of Martha's life. She helped raise her grandchildren and was a source of love, guidance, and strength to everyone around her. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Martha was a strong, compassionate woman and the foundation of her family. She was raised in the Baptist faith and lived a life of devotion, kindness, and service to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sara Ann Leamon; her brothers, Allen Leamon, Ronald Leamon, and Bobby Leamon; her daughter, Regina Green; her son, Michael Wayne Green; her granddaughter, Lacey Green; and her beloved husband, John Wayne Green, who passed away in 2016.
Left to honor her memory are her grandchildren, Patric Green and Kayla Green; her sisters, Jean Avery, Maxine Leal, and Mary Brignon; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever remember her love and strength.
Martha's legacy of faith, resilience, and unconditional love will continue to live on through those who knew and loved her.
Private family services will be held at later time.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
