Obituary for Martha Eastelee Adams
Former Jackson County resident, Martha Eastelee Adams age 90 of Clovis, California, was born June 17, 1906, in Cross Plains, Texas, the daughter of the late Byrd Vinscent and Margaret Catherine "O"Neal Thomasson. She was a longtime Jackson County resident, moving to Clovis, California ten years ago. Mrs Adams passed away Wednesday, January 8, 1997, in Clovis after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, January 14, 1997, in the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Noel George officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. On December 20, 1925, she and Frank Adams were united in marriage at Eva, Oklahoma. Mr Adams preceded her in death. she was a member of the Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. The family will greet family ;and friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm.
Survivors include one daughter Betty Holland husband Elton of Fresno, California, three brothers-in-law; Perry Adams of Colorado City, Texas, Coy Adams and wife Leota of Colorado City, Texas, Joe Adams and wife Louise of Oceanside, California; two sisters-in-law Gaynell Garrison and husband Tommy of Altus, Oklahoma , Marylou Wright of Wichita Falls, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren , other relatives and a host of friends.
