Obituary for Mary Alice Burge
Services for Mary Alice Burge, age 87, longtime resident of Eldorado, have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Eldorado Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Coleman and Rev. Marvin Polson officiating. Interment will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burge was born August 19, 1906 in Paris, TX to Robert and Alice Bogue. She married Willie R. (Bill) Burge, February 4, 1923 in Lazare, TX. They moved to Harmon County from Goodnight, TX in 1932 and have lived in Eldorado since 1957. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eldorado.

Survivors include: her husband, Willie Richard Burge of the home; eight children, Loraine Burge Kendrick and husband Dow of Denver, CO, Willie Burge, Jr. and wife Ester of Denver, CO, Mary Ruth Burge Maheu and husband C.J. of Duke, OK, Sally Burge Hickerson and husband Clyde of Gould, OK, Peggy Burge Averman and husband Jack of Denver, CO, Bobby Burge and wife Linda of Cleburne, TX, Beth Burge Crow and husband Jerry of Oklahoma City, OK and David Burge and wife Barbara of Eldorado, OK; 27 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: a son-in-law; one grandson; two sisters and six brothers; two great-grandsons.
