Obituary for Mary Etta Bonner
Longtime Altus area resident, Mary Etta (Williams) Bonner, age 86, died Monday, June 15th, 1992 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born October 14th, 1905 in Van Alstyne, TX to Will and Melissa Jane (Gant) Williams. She and her family, which included seven brothers and sisters, moved to Altus in 1919. From that time she resided in the Jackson County communities of Ozark, Harmony, Martha, Olustee and Altus and was a housewife. She married Joseph Grady Bonner on August 2, 1924 in Headrick. He preceded her in death May 14, 1991.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 1992 in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: a son, Donald Wayne Bonner of Duncan, OK; a daughter, Wanda Jo Pendergrass of Canton, TX; a sister, Pauline Grant of Altus, Oklahoma; a brother, Garland Williams of Olustee; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Grady Bonner (1991).
