Obituary for Mary Imogene McCord
Mary Imogene McCord, "Gene George", age 74, of 125 Lakeside Drive, died early Monday morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Reverend C. C. Gober and assisted by Dr. Wilford Jones, pastor. Burial will be in Oakland Memorial Center, Terrell, Texas on Wednesday. Lowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born October 23rd, 1897 in Terrell, she came to Altus in 1912. From 1948 to 1968, she owned and operated Gene-George Antique Shop on North Main in Altus. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the D. A. R.

Survivors include: one son, George Edward McCord, B/Gen USAF (Ret) of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Rhoda Belle George of Altus and Mrs. Eva Carpenter of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren.
