Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Sanders, age 50, of Granite, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012, in Vinson, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Oklahoma City on March 22, 1962, to Johnnie Walter and Rachel Virginia (Batton) Ketchum. Moving to the Granite area in the mid 1980"s, Kathy worked for many years as a waitress while also doing private home care and housekeeping. She was also employed at the Quartz Mountain State Lodge for several years. On April 7, 1993, she married Wilbert John Sanders in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Preceded in death by her father and one granddaughter, Kadance Sanders, she is survived by her husband, Wilbert Sanders; her mother, Rachel Ketchum of Granite; five children, Krystal Johnson and husband Shane of Mangum, Kelby Sanders of Granite, Kourtney Hill and husband Daniel of Vinson, Morgan Sanders of Oklahoma City and Adam Sanders of Vernon, Texas; eighteen grandchildren, Layton Ketchum, Jaycee Ketchum, Hunter Johnson, Landen Johnson, Teal Johnson, Dallas Sanders, Devyn Sanders, Sydni Sanders Degan Sanders, Ashton Caword, Ashley Hill, Josh Hill, Megan Hill Eric Hill Gavyn Hill, Dayton Sanders, Ravyn Sanders and Tierney Sanders; two great grandchildren, Breckum Sanders and Abree Hopper; one sister, Cindy Smith and husband Steve of Norman; one brother, Red Ketchum of Granite along with many other relatives and friends.
Services for Kathy Sanders will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Church of New Beginnings with Pastor Bill Elliott oficiating. Interment will follow at Granite City Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
