Obituary for Mary L. Morris
Mary Lois Morris
Mary Lois Morris passed away September 3rd, 2018 in Altus, OK. Mary was born Mary Lois Stuessy on October 25th, 1924 to Casper and Rose (Lenzen) Stuessy in Deer Creek, WI. Mary had 2 brothers William and Gerald and 2 sisters Elizabeth and Majorie. She attended Victory School in Victory, Ok and then later married Raymond Morris on July 29th, 1947.
Mary worked as a clerk for United Foods in Altus, OK. She had been also been volunteer for Jackson County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Mary was a long time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus, OK. She loved her church family. She was faithful, and she always wanted to give to every special need and she loved giving to missionaries all around the world. She enjoyed traveling, country and southern gospel music, playing cards and collecting ornaments. She gave the greatest hugs! She squeezed so tight as if to never let you go. She was always smiling when you walked into her room there at English Village, where she had been a resident these last six and a half years. She was a ray of sunshine! Even after her stroke, she wasn’t able talk but her sweet face and hand motions showed her love and appreciation for all who came to see her.
Proceeded in death by her parents Casper and Rose (Lenzen) Stuessy; one brother, William Stuessy; and one sister, Elizabeth Brazcau. She is survived by one brother Gerald Stuessy of Medord, WI and one sister Majorie Lisiecki of Milwaukee, WI.
A Memorial service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. Pastor Gregory A. Hawn will be officiating.
