Obituary for Mary Marie Jones
Mary Marie Jones, age 65, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 7th, 2002.
Mary was born February 16, 1937, in Orange County, California, to parents William Paul Williamson and Edith Muriel Bear Williamson. In 1975, she moved to Altus from Colorado Springs and worked as a hairdresser. Mary was active at the First Baptist Church of Altus where she volunteered to transport people in need. She was a good friend and always wanted to help others.
She was preceded in death by her Soul Mate and Best Friend, Jim Faulkner, in March of 2001.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Shelly Dillard and her husband David of Hamilton, Texas; three sons, Richard Laney of Altus, Oklahoma, Tim Jones and his wife Judy of Headrick, Oklahoma and David Jones and his wife Stephanie of Memphis, Tennessee. She is also survived by one brother, Walden Routhenberger and his wife Linda of Jasper, Alabama; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
