Mattie F. McWhorter age 85 of Headrick, Oklahoma, died August 15, 1969 at Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. She was born August 13, 1884 in Farmersville, Texas to J.H. and E.T. (Kirkland) Whitwell. She married J. A. McWhorter, he preceded her in death July 24, 1969.
Funeral services for Mattie F. McWhorter are scheduled 2:30 pm at the Baptist Church in Headrick, Oklahoma, officiated by Rev. C. L. Abercrombie and Rev. Howard Nipper. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mattie F. McWhorter is survived by three sons Herbert McWhorter Headrick, Oklahoma; Clyde McWhorter, Memphis, Tennessee; Clark McWhorter, Altus, Oklahoma; four grandchildren nine great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Delia Beatty, Quanah, Texas; Mrs. Cora Tee, California.
