Obituary for May (NMI) Pitts
Mrs. May Pitts, age 88, pioneer area resident, died Tuesday at Park Lane Nursing Home.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiated
by the Reverend Bill Davis and assisted by the Reverend Hoyett Lemmon. Burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born July 27th, 1885 in Arkansas, she was married in 1902 in Greenville, Texas, toMr. John Pitts who died in 1957. They came to Kiowa County in 1906, left for a short time and returned settling on a farm in 1910 near Roosevelt. For the past several years she has made her home in Altus. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include: four sons, Alvin Pitts of Altus, Charley and Dee Pitts of Roosevelt and Donald of Hydro; one brother, John W. Walker of Hobart; one sister, Mrs. Julia Lake of Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
