Obituary for Mellonie Ann Almaguer
ALMAGUER
Mellonie Ann (Ormand) Almaguer, age 47, of Granite, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Mellonie was born on December 21, 1965, to Lloyd Leon Ormand and Gloria Jean (Noblitt) Tyra in Mangum, Oklahoma. Mellonie graduated from Hammon, Oklahoma where she lived most of her life until returning to Greer County in the early 1990"s. She met Fred Adam Almaguer in 1992 and they later married on June 26, 1993 and started a family. They welcomed a son, Dillon Wayne Almaguer, on April 18, 1994 and a daughter, Leslie Ann Almaguer, on June 6, 1996. Mellonie always enjoyed working with people. She held a variety of positions ranging from CAN, food service and was employed with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, with a service record of thirteen years. Mellonie enjoyed fishing, cookouts, horseshoes, cards and all school sports. She was one of her kids and Granite Panther athletics biggest fans. She loved her husband, kids, family and friends. Mellonie did not have a selfish bone in her body and was always willing to help anyone she could. She loved to nurture people and being a mother to her kids and many others came naturally. They say a mother"s work is never done but a golden heart stopped beating and hard working hands laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Preceded in death by her mother; her step-dad, Kenneth Tyra; her father-in-law, "Big" Paul Almaguer; a half brother, Wesley Ormand; one brother-in-law, Paul Almaguer Jr.; Mellonie is survived by her husband and two children of the home; her dad Lloyd Ormand and wife Lou; her mother-in-law, Stella Almaguer; two brothers, L.D.
