Mertie Mae Hosmer age 73 of Martha, Oklahoma died January 29, 1966 in Hobart, Oklahoma.
Mertie was born May 3, 1892 in Montaque County, near Vernon, Texas, to Edward and Mattie Jane (Locke) Bullock. She married J.H. Hosmer and he preceded her in death April 8, 1965. She was a retired teacher having taught in Martha and Olustee. Mertie belonged to the Methodist Church in Martha, a member of the Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors, United .

Funeral services for Mertie Mae Hosmer are scheduled for January 31, 1966 at 2:30 at the Methodist Church in Martha, officiated by Rev. Eddie Kidd and Rev. Leon Henderson. Burial will follow in the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Mertie Mae Hosmer is survived by one daughter Mrs. William D. Austin, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren.
