Mertie V. Splaun age 81 of Duke, Oklahoma died January 23, 1964 in Mangum, Oklahoma. She was born in Wise County, Texas March 27, 1882 to Lee and Nancy (Adams) Burrow She came to Oklahoma in 1900. Mertie married E. Splaun and he preceded her in death November 29, 1954.
Funeral services for Mertie V. Splaun are scheduled for 2:00pm January 25, 1964 in the Baptist Church in Duke, Oklahoma, officiated by Rev. C.W. Kimbler, O.S. Brewer and Elbert Shumaker.
Burial will follow in the Rock Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mertie V. Splaun is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Claude Brown, Duke, Oklahoma; Mrs Bell Allen, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Geneva Ortega, Yuma Arizona; two brothers, M.E. Burrow, Pubelo, Colorado; V.M. Burrow Phoenix, Arizona.
