Obituary for Mildred Chumley
Mildred Chumley, age 69, died March 5th, 1994 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 13th, 1924 in Milburn, Oklahoma to Charles and Ada Hamersley. She married Clyde Chumley July 20, 1945 in Altus, OK. She lived most of her life in the Altus area. She was a member of the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ.
Services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ Church with Bill Osborne and Marland Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: four children, Connie Gotowala and husband Robert of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Brenda Mehr and husband Lloyd of San Antonio, TX, Phil Chumley of Yukon, OK and Jim Chumley of Altus, OK; three brothers, Willie Hamersley of Anchorage, AK, Walter Hamersley of Eldorado, OK and Wayne Hamersley of Altus, OK; three sisters, Josie Medlock of Altus, OK, Ellen Speth of Bakersfield, CA and Mary Brake of Horseshoe Bend, TX; three grandchildren, Jenny Chumley of Vernon, TX, Jimmie Chumley of Vernon, TX and Joshua Mehr of San Antonio, TX; one aunt, Birdie Word of OKC, OK; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
