Obituary for Miriam Earlyne Ragsdale
Miriam Earlyne Ragsdale, age 81,of Altus, passed away at Jackson County Memorial Hospital late Friday evening, September 30, 2005.
Mrs. Ragsdale was born on August 23, 1924 to Earl and Ester Logan. She married Curtis L. Ragsdale on February 29, 1952 in Long Beach, California. Mrs Ragsdale was a registered nurse and worked for many years as a nurse in several doctor's offices.
As a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, she was very involved in the prison ministry, smoking clinics and food distribution. Her husband, Curtis L. Ragsdale, preceded her in death on October 6, 2004 after fifty-two years of marriage. Together they served their church and loved being involved in church activities and visiting with friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Josephine, and her husband. Mrs Ragsdale is survived by one son, Curtis E. Ragsdale and wife Debbie of Altus; one grandson, Zach Ragsdale and wife Tonya of Burleson, Texas; two great grandchildren Taylor Ragsdale and Lexi Ragsdale of Burleson, Texas and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 7, 2005 at 10:30 am at the Keene Cemetery in Keene, Texas with Pastor John Johnson officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
