Obituary for Monette Henry
Monette Henry was born September 27th, 1918 at Headrick, Oklahoma to the late Pioneer parents, John and Nellie Chism. She died November 24th, 1994 at the Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Oklahoma. She married Baxter Henry August 4, 1944 at Lawton, Oklahoma.
She was a lifelong resident of Altus and Jackson County. She graduated from Altus High School in 1937 and then attended Southwestern State College. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church and had worked at Janets for many years.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Grant Groves officiating. Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of Mrs. Monette Henry, 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, MD 20814.

Survivors include: her husband, Baxter Henry of the home; two children, Sally Trenta of New Jersey and John Henry of Altus, Oklahoma; one sister, Vernell Hood of Lawton, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Blake Henry of Altus, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Nellie Chism.
