Obituary for Monnie Ray Johnson
Mr. Monnie Ray Johnson, age 26, from Frederick and employed in Oklahoma City, died Sunday afternoon, the result of an accident in Oklahoma City. Preliminary reports indicate that Mr. Johnson had stopped in the vicinity of 50th and Broadway to check a loosened muffler in his car, accompanied by his wife, Susie. While outside the vehicle he was struck by a passing vehicle, thrown against the guard rail and pronounced dead on arrival at the nearest medical facility. Investigation of the accident continues in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include: his wife, of the home in Oklahoma City; one son, Monnie Johnson, Jr., of the home; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ray Johnson of Frederick, OK; three brothers, Ray Johnson, Jr. of Gardena, CA, Raymond Johnson of Los Angeles, CA and Willie Ray Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, Margaret Johnson of Wichita, KS and Zelda Johnson of Ardmore, OK; maternal grandmother is Mrs. Arie Horton of Idabel, OK.
