Obituary for Mrs. Centennial G. Clark
Mrs. Centennial G. Clark, age 94, died at her residence, 723 E. Cypress, this morning. Born March 30th, 1876 in Clarks Hill, IN. Mrs. Clark, with her husband, the late Mr. I.G. Clark, moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1902 where he, for many years was associated with the Santa Fe Railroad. In later years Mr. Clark served as MKT agent for a number of years at Duke and Hollister, OK. He preceded her in death in 1943 and in 1961 Mrs. Clark moved to Altus. She was a Charter Member of the Polk Street United Methodist Church in Amarillo.
Services have been set for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, at the First United Methodist Church in Altus, officiated by the Reverend Lonzo Battles. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas under direction of Lowell Funeral Home. Graveside services have been set in Amarillo for 3:00 P.M.
Survivors include: two sons, Professor D.S. Clark of Lafayette, IN and Dr. Ira G. Clark, Jr. of Nasilla Park, NM; four daughters, Mrs. Waldo Oden of Altus, Mrs. H.T. Tipps of Nasville, TN, Mrs. J. Frank Stockton of Albuquerque, NM and Mrs. H.D. Akin of Dallas, TX.
A son, George, preceded her in death in 1903.
