Obituary for Mrs. Jo Baucum Thompson
Jo Baucum Thompson, age 61, of Altus died shortly before Noon Monday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services have been set for 4:00 P.M., Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Reverend Clayton Johnson and assisted by the Reverend C. C. Gober. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born September 7th, 1911 in Jackson County, she was a Civil Service employee in Washington, D.C. and for a number of years was Secretary to the Base Commander, Altus Air Force Base, until retirement due to health. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Tommy of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Jack Baucum of Altus and James Edward Baucum of Abilene, TX; one sister, Mrs. Norene Wright of Joplin, MO.

The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
