Obituary for Mrs. Vesta Viola Nix
Mrs. Vesta Viola Nix, age 78, long time resident of Eldorado died Sunday at the Chillicothe, Texas Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for 2:30 P.M., Wednesday at the Eldorado Church of Christ, officiated by Mark Legg. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born February 1st, 1901 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas, she was married at Beeville, Texas in 1935 to the late Clarence J. Nix. He died in 1959. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. F. L. (Jo) Smith of Raymond, MS and Mrs. R.J. (Louise) Wear of El Cajon, CA; two sons, J.C. Miracle of Anchorage, AK and Billy Wayne Miracle of Santa Monica, CA; three step-sons, Larry Nix of Baytown, TX, Merle Nix of Portland, TX and Corbin Nix of Big Springs, TX; two sisters, Mrs. O.N. Pullum of Eldorado, OK and Mrs. Marie Adams of Garland, TX; four brothers, Walter Gatlin of Joshua Tree, CA, H.L. Gatlin of El Centro, CA, Earl Gatlin of Calexico, CA and Travis Gatlin of El Centro, CA; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
