Obituary for Muriel Louise Kirby
Funeral services for Muriel Louise Kirby, 83, of Altus are scheduled for 2:00pm Thursday, May 27, at the Thomas Street Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Altus Cemetery. Bill Osborne and Jack Cummings will officiate. Mrs. Kirby died May 24, at her home in Altus. Mrs. Kirby was born April 23, 1910 in Achellie, Oklahoma to James and Alice Blair. She married Amos Kirby on October 8, 1927 in Altus. She worked as a cook at Jackson County Hospital, and had worked with the Civil Service while living in Utah. Mrs. Kirby was a long time member of the Thomas St. Church of Christ. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include children, Lloyd Laverne Kirby of McKinney, Texas; James Wendell Kirby of Muldrow, Oklahoma; Wanda J. Beddingfield of Clarendon, Texas; sister Nettie Faye Blair of Anson, Texas twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her Amos Kirby in 1990; parents; seven brothers and sisters.
