Nancy Lee Stingel
Nancy Lee Stingel, age 62 of Altus, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Stingel was born on December 22, 1943 to Okla Dale and Mary Elizabeth (Burns) Allbaugh. She moved to Altus in 2004 from Korea and was in her thirty-third year of employment with Civil Service. She was currently a Family Service Advocate at Altus Air Force Base at the time of her death. An active and involved member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Nancy loved volunteering her tie and talents with Hospice, CASA, ACMI House and the Rape Crisis Volunteers. Loving to help people, she was also a foster mother for many years. She enjoyed her two dogs, Happy and Shi Shi, gardening and shopping, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents and one son, Buddy Stingel in 2003, she is survived by one son, Richard Stingel in 2003, she is survived by one son, Richard Stingel and wife Wynn of Swansea, South Carolina, one daughter, Robin Whittaker and husband Brian of Custer, South Dakota; two sisters, Pat Rogers of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Mary Lynn Baum and husband Roy of Choctaw, Oklahoma; one brother, Bob Allbaugh of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
