Obituary for Nannie Patsy Carter
Nannie Patsy Carter, age 94, of 813 Park, Altus, died Wednesday, March 23rd, 1983 at the English Village Manor.
Funeral services have been sewt for 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning at the Macedonia Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Robert Bostic, assisted by the Reverend Theron Booker. Eulogy will be given by a son, the Reverend Marion Lee. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born August 11th, 1888 in Pittsburg, KS, she was a long time resident of Altus and Jackson County.
Survivors include: seven sons, Lewie Lee and Melvin Carter, both of Altus, OK, Larnell Lee and Rev. Chester Carter each of Compton, CA, Rev. Marion Lee of El Paso, TX, Carless Lee of Norfolk, VA and Jerry Carter of Los Angeles, CA; nine grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; two daughters, Nina Buckner and Dorothy Whitfield preceded her in death.
