A talented seamstress, she made beautiful, hand-smocked clothes when her children were young and trendy 60s and 70s outfits when they were teenagers. Naomi was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Altus; a charter member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Othello, Washington; a member of Ysleta Baptist Church in El Paso, and Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan. Naomi was a secretary when working outside the home.
