Obituary for Nathan Daniel Allen
Nathan Daniel Allen, 64, of Manitou (Lake Frederick), Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.

Nathan was born May 18, 1947, in Quanah, Texas, to Nathan Levi and Minnie (Sharp) Allen. He married Irellia Jones January 22, 1994, in Odell, Texas, and they had eighteen wonderful years together. Nathan and Irellia lived on Lake Frederick near Manitou for the past four years and were camp hosts to many close friends there.

He loved fishing, camping, and living on Lake Frederick. Nathan adored his Dachshund dogs and six goldfish. He was known for being Santa's helper and collecting Toys for Tots. Nathan helped the Snyder, Oklahoma, fire department deliver food and toys to the needy. He was also a cotton farmer for twenty-five years, then went to work as a truck driver until his retirement in 2003. Nathan was a "Jack of all trades", but still enjoyed living a simple life. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Preceded in death by his father, Nathan Levi Allen in 1972, Nathan is survived by his wife, Irellia Allen, of the home on Lake Frederick; his mother, Minnie Allen; two sons, Loren "Bud" Allen and wife Lena, and Bill Allen and wife Gina; two step-daughters, Kymberli Reed and husband Daniel, and Krystal Holt; one step-son, Glen "Bo" Gilliam and wife Rachael; fourteen grandchildren, Kayla, Kendra, Billy, Randall, Brehaunna, Talmadge, William, Mikey, Cameron, Jade, Aiden, Kira, McKenzie, and Lila; and one great-grandson, soon to be born.

The family will receive friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10.

Graveside Services for Nathan Allen will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at the Eldorado Cemetery, Eldorado, Oklahoma, with Reverend Wallace Clay of Odell, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
