Obituary for Nelson Monroe Lewis
Funeral services for Mr. N. M. Lewis, age 79, Eldorado, have been set for 2:00 P.M., Monday at the United Methodist Church in Eldorado, Reverend Johnson, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery with Lowell Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Lewis died Friday afternoon at a Hollis nursing home. Born October 9th, 1889 in Cove City, AR, he was a pioneer resident of Jackson County and retired from farming in the Eldorado community. He was married to the former Mittie I. Mitchum. She preceded him in death in 1966. He was a Veteran of World War I.

He is survived by: one son, Alvis M. Lewis of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth N. Cope of Eldorado, Mrs. Mary Francis Arnold of Aurora, CO and Mrs. Jessie A. Johnson of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren.

He will lie in state at Lowell-Richardson Funeral Chapel in Eldorado.
