Obituary for Nettie Bonner
Nettie Bonner, 90, life long resident of the Gould and Altus area, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Plantation Nursing Center in Altus.
Nettie was born June 10, 1920 in Hatfield, Arkansas to William Pierce and Laura Hatta May (Caudle) Keller. They moved to the Gould area when she was very young. She married Robert Chappel Bonner on March 17, 1939 in Duke, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death January 6, 1971.
She was a long time member of the Southside Baptist Church. She loved to play Bingo and to Cross Stitch. But her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed nothing more than being with her children and grandchildren and being involved in all family activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one son, Royce Bonner; one sister, Agnes Clary; and by five brothers, Pierce, Roy, George and the twins, Olen and Nolen Keller.
She is lovingly survived by four children, Merle Bonner and wife Nelda of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Dyanne Holland and husband Bill of Altus, Kenneth Bonner and wife Sherry of Lubbock, Texas and Mary Vanlandingham and husband Earl of Whitney, Texas; 11 grandchildren, David Bonner, Jon Bonner, Cheryl Christensen, Shawn Bonner, Chris Bonner, Michael Webb, Michelle Whittaker, Carrie Bonner, Kenna House, Brandon Vanlandingham, and Justin Vanlandingham; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services have been scheduled for 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2010, at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Jason Duree officiating. Interment will follow at the Gould Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will receive guests from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Wednesday evening at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
