Obituary for Nettie Mae "Shug" James
Shug James was born March 23, 1920 at Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late James A. and Nettie Jane (Simmons) Loudermilk. She died December 19, 2003 in Altus.

Shug married E.L. (Cotton) James, March 10, 1939 in Altus and he preceded her in death, February 24, 1975.

Shug was a long time resident of Altus and Jackson County a homemaker, mother, and member of the First Baptist Church of Altus.

Survivors include two children, Evelyn Lucich and Benny of Altus, Leon James and Donna of Altus; one sister Velma (Pete) James of Dalhart Texas, two brothers; J.D. Loudermilk of Seminole, Oklahoma, Herbert Loudermilk of Maud, Oklahoma; Special friend Harold Washburn of Norman, Oklahoma; six grandsons; Tony Lucich and Rhonda of Murphy, Texas, Michael Lucich and Christine of McAlester, Oklahoma, Richard Lucich and LIbby od Coppwll, Texas, Robbie James and Kathy of Altus, Oklahoma, Kyle James and Sheryl of Brair, Oklahoma and Steve Williams and Wendy of Quanah, Texas, a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Shug was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Shirley Tarbet, and two brothers Raymond and Herman (Buddy) Loudermilk.

Graveside services for Shug James are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, December 20, 2003 at the Altus Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
