Altus, Oklahoma. Nevada was born July 4, 1905 in Collins County, Texas to Melton and Minnie Lee (Freeman) Lockname. She was a member of the Rebecca and Woodman of the World. Nevada had worked at C. R. Anthony for the past 7 years. She had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma since 1947.
Services for Nevada L. Hurley are scheduled for Monday, August 18, 1967 at the First Methodist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Darrill Hardy and Dr. Lee Bowles. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Nevada L. Hurley is survived by her husband, Joe of the home in Altus; one daughter, Mrs. Pat Flipper of Altus, Oklahoma; three sons, Jimmye K. Hurley, Guthrie, Oklahoma; Lt. Con. Dale K. Hurley, Thiland-Navy; Ellis D. Hurley, Atlanta, Georgia; mother, Mrs. Minnie Parrott, Altus, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Odelle Walker, Long Beach, California; one brother, Elma Lockname, Clovis, New Mexico; two step-daughters, Mrs. L. D. Ray, Wichita Kansas; Mrs Ralph Latas, Wichita Kansas.
