Obituary for Nicole Marie Wilburn
Nicole Marie Wilburn (Nuckolls), 38, of Altus, OK went home to the lord on February 27, 2024.
Nicole's love and zest for life transformed the lives of everyone she met. She brought an
abundance of beauty and energy to everything she did. She had a generous heart and if there
was someone in need, Nicole had an unrelenting determination to meet that need, no obstacle
stood a chance against her force of determination.
Nicole was not afraid to share her opinion and she could be trusted to tell you the truth even if
she knew that is not what you wanted to hear. She believed strongly in being your true self and
doing what makes you happy. Her smile and laugh radiated to all her beautiful energy. She was
a die-hard Chiefs fan, hated heights and cooking, and loved Taco Bell. One of her biggest
disappointments; not getting to marry in Las Vegas at the Taco Bell wedding chapel.
She loved early morning "hyper time" (aka turkey time). Olivia and Grayson will forever
remember waking up to those early morning not so quiet gobbles. Nicole's competitive nature
was fierce, it gave us great joy to guess the Wheel of Fortune puzzle before she did. We won't
even discuss what it was like being locked in an escape room game with her- if you had the
opportunity to see her "war face"- you know! She thrived on beating JINNAAAY's (her truck)
GPS listed arrival times.
She had a childlike love for theme parks and that is how she encountered her greatest enemy,
the Giant Barn Swing. We still feel badly for the unknown man sitting next to her, we truly hope
his hand recovered from that surprise death grip he encountered.
Nicole's greatest love was her children and creating special memories for them and their
friends. She was well known for her epic zombie parties, indoor obstacle courses, hunger
games, and nerf wars. She enjoyed surprising the children with spontaneous road trips to
explore new places which doubled as an opportunity for her legendary car karaoke concerts.
Her most notable performance was her rendition of Walker Hays "Fancy Like".
Colie girl, we will forever cherish the memories you gave us. You brought life into the room and
filled our hearts with joy and laughter. Your spirit and love made our world a whole lot brighter.
We love you so much and you will truly be missed.
Nicole leaves behind her husband, Jackie Wilburn; two children, Olivia and Grayson Testerman;
mother and stepfather, Kathy and Ron Onwezen; father, Russell Nuckolls; brother, Justin (Julie)
Nuckolls; and grandparents, Larry Garrett, and Sharon and Rusty Nuckolls
In addition to family, she leaves behind her love for the construction industry and her self-
appointed titles of royalty: "Construction Queen" and "Queen of Car Karaoke.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Ryan Nuckolls and her grandmother, Sharon Garrett.
Nicole's physical life on earth is over but we will celebrate the fact that she is now at peace in
the arms of her creator.

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each another, just as in Christ God has
forgiven you" Ephesians 4:32.
There will not be a service, but there will be a celebration of Nicole's life later this month.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
