RICHESON

Nita Mae (Sheehan) Richeson of Eldorado, OK, age 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 2, 2016. Nita was born on December 6, 1932 at Dam Site, Texas to Clyde and Virgie Irene (Barker) Sheehan, and she was the youngest of six sisters. Nita attended elementary school in the Quanah, Texas area and then graduated from Quanah High School in 1951.

Nita married James Carl Richeson from Eldorado on September 22, 1951 in Quanah, Texas. After living in Quanah Texas, Lawton Oklahoma and Wichita Falls Texas in the early years of their marriage, they later made their permanent home in Eldorado, Oklahoma. Nita and Carl had two daughters, Carla Kay and Monica Irene.

Nita was known around town for making delicious pies and desserts. She always had supplies on hand to make pies for funerals, church functions or for her family or friends. Nita also cooked delicious meals for lunch and dinner and delivered them to Carl and their wheat harvest employees during summer harvest. Nita also helped Carl manage and operate Richeson Insurance and Tag Agency.

Nita had a beautiful soprano voice and loved to sing in the church choir. Nita also loved to sing to her daughters Carla and Monica when they were younger, her grandchildren Amy, Marcus and Eric and later to her great grandchildren Miah, Ben, Daniel, Jacob and Caleb.

Nita and Carl loved travelling and went on many trips around the United States, Alaska and Canada with Oklahoma Farmers Union friends and colleagues. They also enjoyed going on cruises and making new friends.

Nita battled with Alzheimer"s disease for over 13 years. Carl took care of Nita at home until he could no longer physically care for her. Nita was then moved to English Village Nursing Home in Altus. Nita and Carl celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary just before Carl"s death on October 6, 2015.

Nita was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Carl Richeson, parents Clyde and Virgie Irene Sheehan, sisters, Floy Brandon and husband Roy Brandon of Quanah, Texas, Ima Ree Coke and husband Troy Coke of Eldorado Oklahoma, Monette Davis of Myrtle Beach, brothers-in-law James Ritchey and J.
