Obituary for Nora Belle Farris
Nora Belle Farris, age 78, of Tipton, Oklahoma, was born August 19th, 1917, in Frederick, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Roy and Lena (Vance) Jeffries. She was a lifelong resident of Tillman County. Mrs. Farris passed away Monday, April 15th, 1996 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 1996, in the Bethel Baptist Church West of Frederick. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home, Altus.
On November 21, 1939, she and Joe Edgar Farris were united in marriage at Frederick, Oklahoma. Mrs. Farris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Memorials may be sent to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation; Alzheimer's Research Division, 825 N.E. 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
Survivors include: her husband, Joe Edgar Farris of the home; a daughter, JoAnn Cavel and her husband Curtis of Lawton, OK; one sister, Mabel Boyd of Lawton, OK; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Janet Cavel of Lawton, OK.
She was preceded in death by: one son, Jerry Wayne Farris, January 31,1975; one brother, Robert Jeffries and one sister, Gladys Swan.
